Exposed

Artist statement

More often than not, people believe that they are hidden from the view of others when in certain public and private areas. They would probably display different behavior if they were aware of the vigilant observers who do see them.
In the series of photographs Exposed, my gaze focused on people in their cars, which they consider to be their private space, disregarding the fact that they are only a car window away from the public space. I was hidden while taking the photographs, so my presence wouldn’t affect the behavior of the observed people.
